Ministry Leaders
Only those who have been in the leadership of a spiritually driven environment, can begin to comprehend the joys, sorrows, frustrations and excitement of what it is like, day after day, responsible for pouring into the lives of others. A church or non-profit's workplace is no different than other workplaces in many ways. There is still co-worker tension, deadlines to be met, differing of opinions and budgets to follow. From Pastors, teaching team members, worship leaders and tech and office support, leaders can become easily lost, broken, confused and hurt by their surroundings. Although inappropriately placed, ministry leaders are viewed as needing to uphold some level of higher life standards, when in reality, those other co-workers turn out to be normal human beings, who mess up like everyone else. As a firm believer in The Bible, its teachings and the imperative nature of Jesus' centered ministries, Andrew is excited to come alongside those who are leading others to Jesus. Because of his personal 20+ years in ministry, he is able to offer an empathetic listening ear to current or past ministry leaders. His experience with churches have varied from formal involvement in new church plants, leading both adult groups and youth programs, leading worship, providing technical, audio and video support, as well as leading and recruiting volunteers. Having been frustrated, angry, hurt and confused during ministry work, Andrew understands the sacrifices of time and energy it requires, often with little to no reward. Being the one who has no where to unload his daily frustrations, worries and hurt and always needing to keep it together, can leave you feeling completely alone in a sea of people. This life experience for Andrew has resulted in a passion and desire for him to focus on the urgent need for ministry leaders to have someone to pour back into them.
